Melbourne Dyno day 2007
We rented the Dyno for the morning from Streamline automotive in Bayswater, east of Melbourne on June 23.
Nine cars lined up to test on the dyno, the test was really just a comparison between cars and did not really contain much material for bragging rights, however one car did show up to have considerably more power than any others, this car was a Euro spec 928S4.
It was good to see a number of spectators attend as well.
Two cars were unable to have a wide open throttle test due to the fact that they were running too lean and could potentially have done terminal engine damage with a wide open throttle test, this one of the greatest outcomes of the day, these guys needed to attend to the tune of their cars if they want to keep them reliable.
It was interesting to see how much pollution some of the cars made and the noise from a car doing 160kmh!
After the dyno run we headed up to the Skyhigh café on Mt Dandenong to chew over the results. Genreal feeling was that everybody enjoyed the day and gained some knowledge out of what also proved to be great social event as well.
Cheers
